I would like to kick off Citizenship in the world within the next week. For the first meeting we will go over requirements and make some assignments. Could you let me know of your availability on these times for a google meet meeting.

Please complete the following items in your workbook, I will collect them at the end of the course in January.

Requirement 1, 2, 4a, 5 (To be handed in at end of course)

Requirement 3a , 3b (Scouts whom have this completed can use any meeting to discuss their work.)

For the upcoming meeting on 12/21:

Requirement 4c. Please complete and prepare 1-2 slides to share with the group on Thursday.

- World Organization of the Scout Movement: William

- The International Committee of the Red Cross: Sophia

- European Union: Connor

- Robert (can you choose from Interpol, World Health Organization, Amnesty International, Cooperative for American Relief Everywhere)

Requirement 7a: Visit the website of the U.S. State Department.  Learn more about an issue you find interesting that is discussed on this website. https://www.state.gov/

Requirement 7b: Visit the website of an international news organization or foreign government, OR examine a foreign newspaper available at your local library, bookstore, or newsstand. Find a news story about a human right realized in the United States that is not recognized in another country.
