Hi All,
Read no further if you don't know what machine learning is.
"The problem of searching for patterns in data is a fundamental one and has long and successful history"[Bis06]. I'm organising a group to solve exercises in [Bis06], whose importance is commonly admitted and which is often referred to as "The Bible" for machine learners. As well as being a primary means of strengthening problem-solving ability, doing its exercises plays an essential role in understanding the material thoroughly, especially considering some exercises actually well complement the material from a different prospective. I, together with some other machine learning students, have already started doing this sort of thing, aiming to compile such a booklet not only for our own good but for the convenience of future students as well. This project is hosted on Google project and all the solutions are written up in Latex. You dont have to be a machine learning expert to join this group as contribution can be made in various ways. We welcome people at all levels. If you are interested, please drop me a line about yourself including your mathematical background, how comfortable with Latex, etc.
Looking forward to solving problems with you,
