Dear all

Sorry for quite a delay in getting back here.
It is my turn to host this week's topic...
As mostly the materials are optional to read, just take it easy and
follow your heart to the art.

This week we’re going to discuss about art exhibitions, especially
contemporary ones.
I think it is no doubt to say that the exhibition of Cai Guo-Qiang in
Taipei Fine Arts Museum is one of the most well-known exhibitions at
the moment. Therefore, this can be our warm-up topic.
We are aiming to discuss about how art exhibitions mean to our lives
and how these artworks has transformed and most important of all, how
and what you can find with it.

Reading materials are actually optional and welcome to be searched for
according to your unique concern about contemporary exhibitions and
artworks.

How we’re going to process:
1. Cai Guo-Qiang’s artwork is our warm-up topic.
- reviews on his artwork.
- what do you think of according to his artwork.

2. Research share
- Share your reading material and raise different topics according to
the materials.
- Share your concerns about it, for example, materials, forms or
political effect…etc.

3. Discuss
- How art/artist is defined in the past and now?
- How art/artist is defined by you?
- Spontaneous academic discussion, for example, different movement in
art, related artist...etc.

4. Conclusion
- What does art exhibition mean to you?
- How often do you go to an art exhibition?
- What do you see art in the near future?
