At the Sri Vidyashankara Temple (constructed in 1338) at Sringeri, among the dvarapalakas (door guardians) situated outside the sanctum of the presiding deity, there is a sculpture of Nandi with a monkey-like face.
One may read about this temple here:
Another such Nandi in Tamil Nadu:
This statue is present in Aavudayarkovil..in Tamilnadu.. A temple full of surprises and uniqueness..

One can read many posts in this forum on the Nandi - Hanuman connection and related posts.

Most Interesting Murtis designed way before 1338.  The form is Narayan with Trilok controlled by Hanuman. The idols are over 100,000 years old planted by Dev Indra Himself as it's not possible to obtain these designs.
