Perception of Jiva-Brahman difference leads to fear

Bagavatham 3.29.26:

श्रीमद्भागवतपुराणम्/स्कन्धः ३/अध्यायः २९

आत्मनश्च परस्यापि यः करोत्यन्तरोदरम् ।
तस्य भिन्नदृशो मृत्युः विदधे भयमुल्बणम् ॥ २६ ॥

He who entertains even a little of difference between himself and Brahman will be in bondage forever. He is not free from fear. 

This is a paraphrasing of the Taittiriya Upanishad passage:यदा ह्येवैष एतस्मिन्नुदरमन्तरं कुरुते । अथ तस्य भयं भवति । तत्त्वेव भयं विदुषोऽमन्वानस्य । 2.7.1. Shankaracharya has cited this passage several times in the Bhashyas. Gaudapadacharya too says this in his Kaarika:

जीवात्मनोरनन्यत्वमभेदेन प्रशस्यते ।

नानात्वं निन्द्यते यच्च तदेवं हि समञ्जसम् ॥ १३ ॥

Here the reference is through 'bheda nindaa'. Shankara cites the above Taittiriya passage, among many others, that censure difference, in the bhashya here.
