Insurance Department’s response to a Advaitin regarding his claim application :

We have investigated your case thoroughly. Since the underlying cause of the issue was avidya, which is a pre-existing condition, your sufferings from samsara are not covered.

Ha ha....

The Insurance company can use this reason to avoid paying insurance claims to not only Advaitins but to all Vedantins and even Nayayikas, Samkhyins..... even Buddhists. :-)

Well, I now realize it was my avidya to have thought insurance (in the form of money, family, body) is going to save me. At least that saves me the payments going forward.

But, “Dharmo rakshati rakshitaha”. It protects by giving the strength to withstand and not be blown hither-thither by the prarabdha winds of samsara. And it insures our future by facilitating the path to vidya.

Namaskarams Sri Chittaranjan ji and Sri Putran ji.

It was just an attempt to be funny :-)
Have missed to put a disclaimer -- No harm intended towards anyone -- certainly not towards any Advaitins or any Insurance companies :)
