Since deha of the jnAni is avidyAkruta, even after attaining the paramArtha jnAna, if he continues to live in the present deha due to prArabdha, it is a clear sign that he is having the avidyA lesha.  So either he should experience the state of nirvikalpa samAdhi where he goes beyond dehAtma buddhi or he has to die ( literally getting rid of physical body) to ‘experience’ the state of real mOksha / mukhya mukti.  And as per some school due to this association of BMI, the jnAni’s Jeevan mukti is considered as gaUNa mukti a second to ultimate Videha mukti.  Arguments in post-shankara works are more or less like this.
