Our beloved friend, member of this group, Sri Praveen Bhat ji has been initiated into Sridhara Swamiji/ Swami Ramananda Sarasvati guru (Divagi) lineage as Ananta Chaitanya by Kailasashrama Mahamandaleshwara on this auspicious Shankara jayanti.  He now lives in Kailashashrama, Rishikesh.

Great news indeed. I recall with gratitude and great satisfaction the regular interaction in these Forums with Praveen Ji, which helped me immensely in furthering my understanding of the Siddhanta. My prayers to The Lord to guide him forward enabling him to reach the Destination in the current life span itself. It would indeed be wonderful if Praveen Ji could find time to continue to interact in the Forum for the benefit of all of us.

Very good to know. Ishvara anugraha. The name Ananta Chaitanya is a wonderful epithet for Brahman. I recall Vinayaka-ji from my early days here, who joined RKM later. And Pranipati-ji who was already a sannyasin in Chinmaya mission and also one of our moderators. May they inspire us to commit to sadhana and the path of sreyas.

My praNAms to Shree Ananta Chaitanya. As Praveen Bhat, he helped me a lot in clarifying some of the Advaitic concepts. He also corrected my Sanskrit slokas that I wrote on my mother. He was also participating in the Facebook discussion group.

We are really proud to have prabhuji-s who really walk their talks.  My humble prostrations to all of them and my special ‘namana’-s’ to Sri Ananta Chaitanya Swamiji ( pUrvAshrama, Sri Praveen Bhat prabhuji) with whom I interacted on various occasions on various topics with different tones and styles. I tender my unconditional apologies if these dialogues / debates hurts him in any manner.  It is once again very evident how seriously these noble souls study and implement the teachings of our sanAtana dharma in their own life and practically showing how one should pursue the vaidika mArga to attain parama purushArtha.  Let us all (loukika-s) seek their blessings and AshirvachanaM.

If I am not mistaken Sri praNipata Chaitanya prabhuji attained the kaivalya dhAma some years back…or not sure, had written somany private mails to him but not heard from him and later on I got this news!! I am not sure though.

Yes, that is correct.


Also, just to possibly correct myself: I assumed he had the "full sannyasin" status at the Chinmaya mission. In retrospect, considering the 'chaitanya' at the end, I would think he was in an earlier stage on the Order. The website also refers with Br. which may mean Brahmacharin (or Brother).

When he was active in this group, he had sent a personal mail to me that he was coming to Bangalore and wanted to meet me in person.  But unfortunately due to my other commitments I could not utilize this opportunity to meet him in person.  If I remember right he was writing series of articles on VC!!

 

One more person I used to interact a lot, a hardcore follower of bhAmati school of Advaita, he also all of a sudden passed away at the very young age!! Now, I have forgotten his name also.

One more person I used to interact a lot, a hardcore follower of bhAmati school of Advaita, he also all of a sudden passed away at the very young age!! Now, I have forgotten his name also. 

 

Search mail for Devanathan-ji (antharyami_in" <sathvatha@...>). He had written on Bhamati vs Vivarana.

Yes, thanks for the reference prabhuji.  Despite the efforts to do samanvaya between these two schools by various authors / scholars in the name of prakriya bheda,  he was having the strong conviction that ONLY bhAmati school represents the shankara’s true Advaita vedAnta and paNchapAdika vivaraNa not doing the justice to the mUlabhAshya.
