Just finished hearing the talk. It is captivating and he also gives plenty of scriptural and shankara references, but one has to note that in the later part, he delves into the peculiar "bhakti to Sri Ramakrishna" interpretation of guru tattva/parampara as understood within their sub-tradition. So we have to discern that information and compare-contrast with the understanding of guru within the general shankara sampradaya.
