Printing of the 'Sridakshinamurti Stotram' (Two volumes) in English
The above book, a repository of a vast range of topics of Advaita Vedanta, was authored by Ve.mu.Br.Sri.D.S.Subbaramaiya and published by the Sringeri Sharada Peetham in two volumes in 1988. The book has seen two prints after that and owing to popular demand, the third print is now taken up by the Peetham.
The Sridakshinamurti Stotram, a Vedantic hymn consisting of ten verses, is a composition of Shankara Bhagavatpada and has the commentaries: Manasollasa of Sureshwaracharya and Tattvasudha of Swayamprakasha Yati thereupon. The English book is based on these commentaries and supplements the exposition with a very huge number of citations from the Shruti, Smriti and also many rare and well known Advaitic texts. The original Sanskrit quotations are provided with lucid English translations too. The two volumes together span over 1300 pages.
