Before those … if you have not yet…
I want to pass this very important gem of a podcast
A must listen
It will clarify so many things - prepares you well - as your interest gains and begin to feel the impact ..

Please make some time, in silence without distractions… you will appreciate you did …

This particular Podcast is
By Swami Sarvapriyananda

The best & great & authoritative explanation of introduction of
What Vedas are?
What Karma Kanda & rituals are?
What Vedanta & Upanishads are?
How many popular and known Upanishads are there ?
What is Bhagavad-Gita and how it fits in The great Trilogy of Canonical Texts ? Upanishads, Bhagavadgita & Brahmasutras

What is Advaita & how other interpretations of Vedas compare to Advaitha & their masters, teachers, gurus - Sankaracharya, Madhvacharya, Ramanujacharya + two more great teachers and founders of philosophical sects

What is worshipping in Temples and Gods and Churches mean
& how it can compliment learning of Knowledge of Upanishads & Advaita

Finally clarity on knowledge & ignorance & moksha & liberation; Kyvalya & freedom; atman, self, Brahman, consciousness;

Please listen with concentration
And then you can plan when to listen systematically the Upanishads lectures he is giving

Mandukya - is nice; it’s the first one he gave; I listened to all classes and it took two months or so… but a great one - gem of gems and pure knowledge …

This Katha Upanishad is second one he is teaching
Each of these will take several weeks & months & years to listen and it’s great

Namaskar,

I am a keen and regular listener of his talks. I have been  listening  to his talks everyday for the last two years.

I find that his talks for the close devotees are not structured ( unlike his public talks). There is a freedom to talk extensively about anecdotes, some humour, the contemporary status of research in science, his memories of persons/professors/ scientists he met. There is a great variety and that makes his talks fascinating.

His talks  on the Vedantasara are  fantastic and they help you to prepare the foundation. The book is otherwise dry, and to the point. Sarvapriyanandaji makes it lively.

Moreover his ability to explain the nuances is amazing. His talks were a game changer in my learning of the Advaita Vedanta.

Regards

Dilip.
