Another piece of news is that the Śrī Kāśī Vidvat Pariṣad is reportedly working on the Manusmṛti, perhaps with the intention of producing an entirely new commentary on it. It may not be of much significance to Hindus in Southern India, but I believe it could be quite important for Hindus in Northern India. I sincerely hope that, rather than removing any ślokas as interpolations, they will preserve the received text and focus on providing a comprehensive new commentary.
