Intel Parallel Studio XE was a software development product developed by Intel that facilitated native code development on Windows, macOS and Linux in C++ and Fortran for parallel computing.[2] Parallel programming enables software programs to take advantage of multi-core processors from Intel and other processor vendors.

The OpenMP panels are not only for OpenMP. They are for every extension that needs /qopenmp (for instance for the parallel extension like __par), in which case useful information is displayed for the state of existing threads. It is also possible to suppress the multithreading and use a monothread execution.

I am an academic and senior research associate with University of Malaya. I wish to download the older version of the intel compiler 2017 and the math kernel library for use with the series 100 3120A Xeon Phi coprocessor. I do not have any subscriptions at the intel registration center. I bought a development kit for the series 100, 3120A Phi Xeon coprocessor card over 5 years back but do not have the details. How can I get the math kernel library and the compilers version year 2017. Thanks,

Intel VTune Amplifier XE is a performance profiler for C, C++, C#, Fortran, Assembly and Java code. Hot spots analysis provides a sorted list of functions that use a lot of CPU time. VTune Amplifier XE uses the Performance Monitoring Unit (PMU) on Intel processors to collect data with very low overhead.

Hi, I moved to Clear Linux from Ubuntu just because of CL is an Intel-native OS. Surprisingly, when I tried to install intel compilers from the parallel studio, I got a lot of errors, and installation could not proceed. Following are few of the errors

I changed from FEDORA 19 to Scientific Linux 6.4 and now I can build both with gnu and intel compilers.
I'll try again with FEDORA 19 in the near future and if I found the problem or the solution ( ) then I'll put a new comment here.

I updated the intel parallel studio to update 1 and did the tests again,
but the results were the same.
So I add some "debug" parameters to try to get more information, and the
result is this:

This should be something related with the intel compilers,
because when I use the gnu compilers (gcc, g++, gfortran)
everything works.
But I really need to compile this with intel fortran...

The scripts also require you to specify a choice of architecture for the compiler. The choices are ia32 or intel64. You will probably wish to compile your code for the intel64 architecture. While ia32 provides greater portability, the Math Department no longer has any 32-bit machines. Your code will run faster on a 64-bit machine if compiled for the intel64 architecture.

Savage said Intel Parallel Studio 2010 is a major update to the company's tools suite for building parallel applications to run on multicore systems. It helps developers build and debug C/C++ applications using the compilers and libraries found in Intel Parallel Composer, which now also includes the new Intel Parallel Building Blocks, a set of comprehensive parallel development models. Developers can verify and improve code reliability and quality by finding crash-causing bugs using the Intel Parallel Inspector memory and threading error checker. And developers can tune application performance with the Intel Parallel Amplifier threading and performance profiler.

Intel Parallel Building Blocks (PBB) is a set of tools that gives developers new and different ways to take advantage of parallelism with a new set of task and data parallel models that are portable, scalable, reliable, and future proof. These models easily integrate into existing applications, preserving software and hardware investments, Intel said.

There are other tools available for software development that are not listed on this page. For example, Totalview can be used for parallel debugging. Various Intel tools are available for performance measurement and optimization.

The software suite Intel Parallel Studio is installed on the cluster, it includes the Intel compiler version 19.1.3. Additionally, the older version 19.0.5 is installed. The installed versions can be displayed with module spider intel.
