I've set this out using the existing Atom:link title and type
attributes, the idea is that we share a set of "Usage Principals" in
how those titles are intepreted, rather then a full-blown and correct
Atom extension.

This has worked out for the most part, however I will admit that using
atom:link "length" as "duration" breaks Atom for some readers. This
being the case I do however believe that AdultATOM will be used in a
different audience to those readers, where it's mostly machines
talking to other machines that have been specifically programmed to
talk AdultATOM.

With this approach the vast majority of the terms and assets available
in the adult industry can be covered.

From here on out however I'd lock down these usage principals and
suggest that any further extension be done as XML within the
Atom:content element.

This area could be used to extend AdultATOM2.0 to include a DRM layer
or other advanced mechanism to help with remote monetization of
content and other future advances in the industry.
