Description: Differentiating Writing Instruction for ABE/GED Students
How do you manage writing instruction in a class with ABE/GED students of diverse ability levels, and with diverse interests, needs, and learning profiles? How do you convince your students of the value of engaging in pre-writing activities before they begin to draft their essays? This webinar will offer strategies for differentiating writing instruction so that it is responsive to the needs and abilities of diverse ABE/GED learners, and it will suggest ways to encourage students to use pre-writing activities. Webinar participants are encouraged to share differentiation strategies they have found to be successful as well as suggestions for encouraging students to do pre-writing.
