geographically or individually, the class will look at the planet-
wide religious picture at five different time periods. Let’s see who
was
influencing whom in the 15th, 5th centuries BCE and the 1st, 7th, and
17th centuries CE. It is not necessary to attend all sessions.
To register contact Lillian Anderson at

The last class is on March 6th.
The First Church BOOK GROUP will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Library to
discuss Jason Robert’s
"A Sense of the World:How a Blind Man Became History’s Greatest
Traveler".
"A Sense of the World" tells the story of James Holman (1786-1857),
history’s famous Blind Traveler. A solitary, sightless adventurer,
Holman traveled more than 250,000 miles on five continents; he
experienced and reported on 200 distinct cultures, recording his
impressions with the use of a Noctograph. Holman’s accounts of his
adventures sold very well in England. Using numerous primary sources,
Jason Roberts tells his fascinating story, providing the reader with a
sense of Holman himself as well as the world he experienced. Please
email Anne Stuart at:
ast...@uubelmont.org to confirm attendance if
you are interested in participating.
