In the spirit of starting to get to know each other, let's all post a short introduction about ourselves (3-5 sentences). In your post, feel free to share a picture; but more importantly, share a little about why you've decided to come back to school. In other words, why do you want to earn a high school equivalency?  What do you hope it will lead to? What careers are you interested in?

I have chosen to get my high school equivalency dilpoma, for a few reasons, one being my daughters. I dropped out of high school three months before I was due to graduate, something that has bothered me for many many years. I've tried severel different programs, which neither program was the right time frame for me. After obtaining my high school equivalency diploma, I plan on going forward with getting my Associate Degree.

I want to earn my high school equivalency diploma because I would like to enroll in college. I worked in the medical field as a Medical Assistant and I really enjoyed what I did and now I want to take it a step further and become a License Practical Nurse. My ultimate goal is to make a better life for my daughter and I.

Hi, My name is Elizabeth and I am a 54 years old. Returning to school has been something I promised myself I would do, and now that I have raised my 4 children and have the opportunity via e-learn, there is nothing to prohibit me. I am interested in the visual communications field but haven't narrowed it down to anything specific yet.

I decided to get my high school diploma due to the way the laws has changed. I will return to college to receive my associate in hospitality.

I want to earn my high school equivalency so that I may go to college.  I like this program because it allows me to work on the areas that I need help learning.  Once I enroll in college, I want to major in medicine or computer programming.

I want to earn a high school equivalency diploma because now a days this is what you need to get a decent good paying job. I am tired of living check to check and never seem to get ahead. I want to set an example for my kids. This is a huge step in providing a better future for not only them but a secured on for me. Without this diploma the selection is very limited on jobs and careers. But once I have this diploma under my belt the doors will open wide for careers and opportunities.

My name is Sheryl I've been blessed with four beautiful daughters and married to my soul mate for a little over 15 years. I have always been the type of person that would do for others and put myself last. But that all changed when I got sick about a year ago and the doctors told me that I have a muscle and nerve disease , it really was an eye opener for me because when I need help all the people who I have been there for was no where to be found when needed!! So I decided to put me first and do something for me and go back to school..

Hi everyone I'm Shequitha just recently made 29. I want to get my high school diploma because I completed the 12th grade but didn't graduate because I fell the leap test by 2 points and never went back. I can admit that I was very disappointed and embarrassed with myself because I was a B student and didn't master the leap test and that's why I didn't go back. I want this diploma to also show my 2 boys that I'm not just telling them to do something I didn't do.
