Lots of informed ppl in this group so dropping this question here:
I'm buying a 2unit flat in Kingman park.  Zoned rf-1, has a 2 unit CofO but it is more than 10 yrs old.  Reading DCRA, I might have to get it reinspected since the permit was in 2004?  I'm closing on  Oct 4th but want to line up any inspections now so I can include any fixes in my renovation.  Basically, is it possible to get the ball rolling on the change of ownership now?  Or what hurdles can I knock out now before closing?

Hi Jeremy,

This is Jean with BBL PROCESSORS.

Unfortunately you will have to wait until you close and actually own the property in order to start the change of ownership process.

When applying, proof of ownership is one of the requirements for the application.

Please let me know if you need any additional information or assistance with the process to include obtaining the Basic Business License.

Have a fantastic weekend! Jean

If you enjoyed the experience, please leave us a review on Google (https://g.page/r/Ce-6FMZDVOwFEA0/review) with your comments.
