How does the new AdSense approval process affect the API users?

Currently we are allowing users to create AdSense accounts using APIs
but we do wait until their account is approved to start using their Ad
Code. But the new AdSense approval process require publishers to start
using the Ad Code before the final approval.

Does the APIs return the "Approved" status after the initial approval
or after final approval? Do the APIs return different status for
initial approval and final approval?

Hi Tony,

it should return Approved after the initial approval already. At this stage they will begin to show blank ads, and in the AdSense front-end the messaging informs the user that their account remains under review.

Thank you so much for the reply. I tested and verified this. After the
initial approval, we are getting the Approved status from Google and
so we will start using the AdCode.

However, there was a small flaw in the process. When Google team look
to verify the Ad code implementation, they will see the profile page
we are using as the "website of publisher". This special profile page
did not have any Ad code used. Probably due to this reason, some
applications were rejected. so we made a small change today: we are
now using the Ad code in the profile page itself so that reviewers can
verify the implementation. Also, we are including few links to the
articles posted by the member so that Google team can follow the links
and further verify the ad code implementation.
