The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has launched the
'Consultation on the grandfathering policy of support for dedicated
biomass, anaerobic digestion (AD) and energy from waste (EfW) under
the Renewables Obligation'.

The purpose of the consultation aimed to:
- seek views on whether the DECC's preferred option is the best way
forward;
- gather evidence on the costs for dedicated biomass, AD and EfW and
the proportion of costs attributable to non fuel costs;
- test assumptions over investor reaction to grandfathering and
therefore the likely amount and timing of investment that would come
forward under different options;
- seek views as to whether there are any other unintended consequences
of the DECC's preferred option.

Further information is available on the DECC's website

. Also available for download is the Consultation (809KB pdf) and the
report 'Impact assessment of grandfathering support for dedicated
biomass, anaeroibic digestion and energy from RO (38 KB pdf)
