ADP@USC Team,

Here is the info for Thursday's event at UCLA. Let me know if you are planning on going and if you can drive.

As of now, we have about five or so people that have told me that they'll be there, so it's great to hear that we have enough people to have a presence.

In other news, I have some of the jewelery and t-shirts now, so we'll be going over that all in our meeting this Sunday in VKC at 1:30 p.m.

Have a good week and FIGHT ON.

Hello All,

I want to check in one last time about the Action Fair this Thursday from 1:30-2:30 in the main foyer outside the Tamkin Auditorium, B Level in the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.  You can set up anytime between 11 and 11:30am on Thursday.  Our table situation has changed – you will now each have 3 feet of a rectangular table to set up (not the round tables that I mentioned before).

The rest of the logistics are the same:

The main event will run from 12-1:30pm in the auditorium (you are welcome to attend) and the Action Fair (with free lunch!) will start at 1:30pm in the foyer.  Plan on being packed up by 2:30pm.

I suggest bringing any promotional, educational or action-oriented materials, as well as a sign/banner with your organization's name.  You may also want to bring extra pens if you want people to sign up for more information.  Don't hesitate to call me at any time at 617-301-4241.  I leave for LA on Oct. 22nd, after which point you can reach me on my cell at 860-808-6097.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all at this event!

Best,

Amanda

Hello Action Fair Friends,

First, thank you so much for hosting a table at the post-Town Meeting Action Fair, taking place on Thursday, Oct. 23rd at 1:30 in the main foyer outside the Tamkin Auditorium, B Level in the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (757 Westwood Plaza).  Your contribution will make this a great event!  I've answered a few of your questions individually, but I want to make sure everyone is on the same page with logistics:

Table set up is at 11:30am.  The main event will run from 12-1:30pm in the auditorium and the Action Fair (with free lunch!) will start at 1:30pm in the foyer.

If you haven't already done so, please send me the name of the person who will be attending your table, as well as their contact info (email, cell#).

I'm looking forward to meeting you all at this event.

Best,

Amanda

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of all my colleagues at PHR's Health Action AIDS Campaign, the UCLA Program in Global Health and AIDS Project Los Angeles, I want to thank you for co-sponsoring Politics and Realities of Global & Local AIDS: A Town Hall Meeting. We are very excited to have you on board with us for this key event.  I am working with Jirair to assist our co-sponsors with promotional activities before and during the event.

To help promote the Town Meeting, we created an announcement for you to share with your constituents and members of your organization. The announcement is attached along with the official flyer for the event.  Please add this event to your organization's or department's online calendar and/or email listserv.  Let me know if you need any more information.

As previously mentioned, the Town Hall Meeting will also feature an Action Fair- a forum for co-sponsors to showcase their projects and information. The Action Fair will follow the event and give audience members the opportunity to take action, learn about local and national organizations, explore partnerships, and network with community members.  Of course, it will also be a great opportunity for you to promote your organization/department!

If you are interested in having a table at the action fair, please let me know by Friday, October 17th.  You will be provided with 5-foot circular tables and chairs. All we need from you is:

  • At least one volunteer/representative to staff your action table
  • Contact information (cell phone) for this person
  • Promotional, educational and/or action-oriented materials to be displayed at your table.

If you have any additional questions you can reach me by email (ac...@phrusa.org) or call me at 617-301-4241.  On October 22nd and 23rd, I can be reached on my cell at 860-808-6097.

Again, thank you for your participation.

All the best,

Amanda
