You said in your windows download description to click the 64 bit button, but what if i am running windows 7 at 32 bit. How many versions of Kodi are out there and do they all come from the same source. What version of windows will run kodi, and do some combinations need 64 bit whist others need 32 bit. Basic stuff but it helps to understand the technology involved.

I just wanted to ask how emby handles the metadata and artwork, I just started using emby 3 weeks ago, I always been a hardcore kodi user, and use a program called Ember Media Manager to scrape all of the artwork and movie info and save it into the movie folder for Kodi.

I want to know how emby will interact with the information, nfo and artwork, I don't want to activate options that will end up messing up my library. I remember that once I was trying a media center that name artwork diferent than kodi and end up with with two sets of the same artwork but named differently.

I will love to activate this option if Emby and kodi work in harmony, I would like emby only to save any missing artwork not to redownload what is already there, I don't know if emby names the artwork like kodi.

Used WHS (Windows home server) to store my movies on en stream from it to kodi (OpenElec). Never issues, no loading...
Yesterday i setup OMV on test-system (with faster specs), want to go to OMV on WHS system.

Certain settings may not be compatible from your Windows setup in LibreELEC. Is the hardware for the LibreELEC device identical or different? If the latter, leave out the guisettings.xml file why you start copying a kodi profile folder.

If you start copying settings/files from the Kodi windows setup, you're bound to find paths in there, f.e. in sources.xml. How do you have your video source(s) set up? Via SMB, NFS, external USB drives? Since you provided no other info, I'm only guessing here. But it all affects the way Kodi is run.

Install the latest Kodi version from Kodi official site: kodi.tv and overwrite the existing installation enables to preserve former settings, configurations, build. The exact procedures are just like how to install Kodi.

If you are a Kodi user, it is likely true that most of the time you use Kodi on fullscreen mode. However, there is also the option to run Kodi windowed, at least on Windows OS. This lets you use your device for any other tasks while you watch a movie. The problem is that if a window comes in front of Kodi, it will be partially obscured. If you are a user of Kodi on Windows and want to watch movies while working or doing anything else, then keep reading, to find out how to keep Kodi windows always on top. [Read: Kodi Windows Store installation method is now available]

To start, if you want to ensure that an Always on top Kodi window is visible, head to System -> Settings -> System -> Video Output. Here you want to make Kodi run windowed. If Kodi is running fullscreen, it will make no sense for you to define always on top Kodi windows on the Kodi options. On the Display mode menu item, make sure Kodi is set to Windowed.

I want to use my rpi3b as a htpc. So far my best option is kodi, I think. The main reason I got it is so my father could watch mlb.tv, so it is prority #1. I would like to stream Netflix on there aswell, for example when some friends are over.

For kodi I already have an mlb.tv addon, but for netflix I still don't really know what to do. there is NetfliXBMC, but it seems like it is a lot of trouble since it doesn't run on kodi standalones like openELEC out of the box. Also, for Netflix I can use a windows pc in the same network, for example to stream it to the rpi.
