Many of you have missed the Doggie Harmony Barker E-Newsletter. Honestly, it was a bear to assemble -- hours of follow-up on each dog's status, saving/formatting pictures, adding text/links, and well, you get it. By the time it was sent, dogs were outdated and we'd ignored numerous email cries of "What do I do with this dog I found?"
So, a new approach to the Barker is born. Each time a new dog goes on Petfinder, we'll 'bark' out for your help to spread the word. In a few clicks, you can share this great dog with friends, families, followers and Facebookers. It's only through our network of supporters like you that we continue to make progress for the many animals that find themselves homeless in this difficult economy. They need you and we need you - so, lend a dog a paw!
For those of you that were able to join our Pinot for Puppies fundraiser last month -- we enjoyed it and will do again soon!

Boxer Mix: An adoptable dog in Atlanta, GA

What a fabulous dog! The owners can not afford to keep him, they are desperate to find him a place. He is heartworm positive; so his resuer is fundraising for the treatment. Please help him, he is still living with his owners in Rome, GA for now, but must be rehomed immediately. The picture of him in the snow running with those beautiful eyes and his muzzle flopping touches the heart. He is smiling! He is gorgeous! Kovu loves to play hard, but also loves to relax just as much as the next dog at the end of the day. He loves to cuddle, give kisses, play tug-a-war and enjoy a game of soccer. Most of all, Kovu loves his belly rubs. Kovu is an athlete -- both a jumper and a runner -- so he will need a 6 ft securely fenced yard. Contact Elena at elen...@ymail.com for more information.

Hiya Im Farrah, a petite 45 lb, 1 1/2 yr blonde bombshell with the cutest underbite you ever did see! Sometimes, people look at me and say, Is she a Pitbull? Heck if I know Im a mixed mutt! Call me a beautiful blonde lab with funny bunny ears, if it warms your heart!
I had a rough start, raised on a rope in a backyard. Sure, Ive seen tough, but now I know what Im looking for a person to love, who'll love me right back! The people who rescued me have shown me the best of human kindness and I'm a silly, lovable ham whenever I see them, but I still require a warming up period with new folks. I am a bit bashful, always trying to hide my wagging tail, but darn it if it doesnt sneak out from under my bum and wag right between my legs! Oh, great news, I;ve just completed training at U.S. Canine Dog Behavior and Psychology Center, run by Atlanta's very own Dog Whisperer, Angie Woods. I am an A+++ dog who loves to play with others, and then settle in for my nightly snooze. It's OK here in boarding, but Id prefer a cozy home with my very own loved one(s) and perhaps a dog friend too. Like every great love, it takes training and trust. I need your patience and attention.
