Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, but it’s time to get back to dog work. We need your help circulating the latest dogs in our 'pupfolio.'
And just in case you’re not convinced that reading and sharing ‘the Barker’ works, both Buddy I and Graycie from the last one found the foster they need AND the following found forever homes: Chico, Cubby, Nala (transferred to NE Rescue), Simba, Lady and Amos!
Please send luck to all the dogs still waiting or undergoing medical treatments – yep, it works too! Lucky Kovu showed up for heartworm treatment and was found to be negative! Funds are being redirected toward his vaccinations, heartworm preventative and another homeless pooch who needs treatment. But Kovu is still looking for a forever home, so don’t forget about him.

This cute lab-dachschund mix boy is long with short legs and a big head. He's about 8 mos old and was rescued from high traffic area Buford Highway in Norcross. He is friendly, sweet and has a loving personality. He does great with other dogs. He's neutered and UTD on shots. Leela the Beagle/Hound Mix

Leela is a very adorable, sweet, gentle and loving dog who was rescued from a owner/home with too many dogs. She is just 30 lbs and quite calm -- neither a jumper nor a barker. She loves other dogs and mainly wants to play "chase" with them. Because she’s been limited in life experiences, Leela has had to experience a lot of things for the first time, but is coming around quite nicely. She’s now housetrained and does well in the car and with baths. Leela also comes when called and actively seeks affection and praise from her foster mom. She would do best with another dog who could be a playmate and social mentor to her and/or someone that is home a lot with time to spend getting her acquainted with life as a loved pet. Max is a sweet dog who is content to play or just lay by your side. He's friendly to people of all ages and other dogs. Max is also loyal and personable - he sings to communicate with his people friends. He is really a special dog and all that is missing from his life is a family of his own.
