Hi all,

I have built an AIR app, and for that i want to assign/show an icon
to
be seen after its been installed. The icon is the one which will be
seen once my AIR app is installed and it should be seen in the
taskbar
for my AIR app thats running.

There is an facility to specify the icons in the app.xml file. But
its
giving me an error as: "error creating AIR file: 202".

Can anyone tell me how can i come across this issue?

VJ,

I haven't seen this error personally, but it might be worth comparing
it to the most recent app they made.

At the most recent meeting, the created an Air app, and if I remember
correctly that app used 4 different icon images. So maybe start by
comparing what you have to this..

Also, I seem to remember in the meeting, that you could only use PNG
files, so maybe that has something to do with your error.

Hope this helps,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your help.

Actually i had not tried giving 4 different images of different sizes, as i didn't know it was compulsory to add all 4.
Now its working fine when i provide all 4 images.
Thanks,
VJ.

You can also just leave the blank XML nodes commented out. You just can't have empty icon nodes.
