Job Description:

One of SGA's major Banking clients is seeking an Java/Flex Developer
for a long term contract position in Tampa.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will function as a hands on Technical Specialist,
participating in the design, development and implementation of a
global n tier application
Design, development, implementation, support and optimization of
application. Use object-oriented techniques and software engineering
best practices including design review, code review, unit-testing, and
re-factoring.
Participate in the gathering and reviewing of business requirements
and translating into functional/technical specifications.
Ability to work independently with Strong problem solving and
analytical skills.
Recommend enhancements or resolutions with assistant from Vendor and/
or Business Line.
Mentor other developers/analysts, including reviewing designs and
performing code reviews
Contribute to project planning discussions, provide status updates for
development progress.
Writes comprehensive concise and clear technical documents.
Coordinates Activities with Vendor personnel (vendor presentations,
site visits, prepare for installations, etc.)

Technical Knowledge and Experience:
5+ years of experience developing web-based business and E-Commerce
applications using Adobe Flex, Java/J2EE Frameworks. Hands-on
expertise in object-oriented analysis & design, with advanced
understanding of Enterprise design patterns, frameworks, and SOA
architecture.
Expertise with Web 2.0 technologies such as Flex3, AJAX and Adobe Live
Cycle and other RIA frameworks etc.
Experience in designing Enterprise Portal Solution. Strong working
knowledge of aggregating different types of distributed applications.
Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), with understanding
of Web Service and SOAP.
Experience with Workflow Engine and/or Business Rules Engine is a plus
Strong background with relational database technology including Oracle
and frameworks and API like Hibernate, JDBC, etc
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
Overall 10+ years experience with preferably 5+ years experience J2EE.
Exceptional problem solving skills.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal
skills
