problem on ID2: I am producing a book that finally has to contain 2 indexes: 1 on persons names and 1 on topics.
How can I split these without creating 2 documents (for timewinning reasons; e.g. to avoid last minute corrections on 2 documents).

My plan was to create the 1st index and, when finished, get rid of all index markers (by Find/Replace the markers for blancs) and then start creating the 2nd index. But Find/Replace don't work on index markers.

Am I thinking wrong?

Why don't you use Index entry and Subentry, where Index entry is the name of the register and Subentry is the Index entry?

For example:
Index entry: Index of Authors
Subentry: Francken, Cok
Subentry: Williams, James

Index entry: Index of Subjects
Subentry: Sweet things
Subentry: Chocolate

...

Then you have devided two (or more) indices.

Thanks Gabi,

That's cool, but I'm entering my index markers with a keyshortcut because there are just too much... (to avoid mad-driving-clicking and such things)
