Using Reader 9, getting an error while opening a document that works on other PCs. The error reads - This document enabled extended features in Adobe Reader. The use of the extended features has expired.

How can the features expire when we are using a licensed copy of Adobe Pro to create forms and Adobe Reader 9 to populate the forms and sign electronically? Please help!

Was the feature enabled by Acrobat 9 Pro?

Yes. Using the Advanced - Enable Extended Rights feature in Acrobat 9 or 8. Most forms were created in 8 with these same rights enabled.

Can you post a link to the form?

Thanks for taking a look. You can download the form from our dropbox at ftp://ftp.profdata.com/dropbox/bernd

I don't have any problem using this form. I can sign the document in Adobe Reader 9.

Check the link again, I put a screenshot of the errors we get. The document uses the FDF feature to populate data on the form before you sign it. So if you can sign it, it appears that something is different with the FDF feature. Know anything about that? The odd thing is that this same document works on many other PCs.

I can't see any FDF file on the ftp site.

It's not the FDF, it's the screenshots of the errors - a .jpg file. Do you want the FDF?

When you say "FDF feature", what do you mean exactly? How is the data being populated? By a web server?

Well, the data is being populated from a SQL database. Somehow, our program uses the FDF feature to read a mapping file, that maps the SQL fields in the db to the field in the PDF and populates our forms, so the user doesn't have to do anything but sign. The really odd thing is other systems that were upgraded from prior versions of Adobe received a message asking if you want to import trusted securities. If you say yes, then you don't have this problem. On this system, the user said no. Now we can't get the prompt back to say yes. This seems to be the only difference between this system that fails and the other 50 that work...
