Do you actually use Acrobat Reader for your Palm device? I find the screen on mine way to small to read anything lengthy.

I currently have several adobe books on my Palm T/X using Adobe Reader for Palm OS v3.05. I've recently ordered a Adobe format ebook and I'd like to install it on my Palm device. If I remember correctly the Adobe Reader Desktop software prior to version 8 used to convert the files for the palm device. Could you please point me to the instructions on how to do this. I am currently using Adobe Reader 8.1 on desktop.

I installed Adobe Reader on my Palm T|X because several sites are offering book downloads only in Adobe format. I allowed the program to "configure" itself to my device, but it doesn't seem to support any T|X features, especially the wide screen. The font size is either too large or huge and no finer font size is available. Between the large font and the small square screen, there is nowhere near enough information on the page to actually use it for reading. My thumb would wear out before I finished Chapter One.

At the moment I am successfully using Palm Reader and Mobipocket and reading internet HTML files with my Palm Blazer browser, but I find the Adobe Reader for Palm to be virtually unusable. I could read a small file with it in an emergency, but could never put up with it for a whole novel. I can't see why so many self-publishers choose Adobe for their download format. Am I missing something here?

I have Adobe Reader 8 on my Window's XP PC. I'm trying to size a PDF file to 8x10 but I can't find a way to do that. I need to submit this PDF file to Create Space for publication in a 8x10 format. Can you tell me how to do this on Adobe Reader 8, or do I need a different program?

thanks, tom

I downloaded them and they immediatly went into adobe digital editions which i did not want as its rubbish so i deleted digital editions from my laptop and downloaded them again. They downloaded to adobe reader 7.0 fine but when i went to put them onto my palm via adobe for palm os (latest edition) i was told i could not as the product was security protected. Can ayone please tell me why this is and how i fix this problem?

I seem to remember that you have to do it using a special menu entry on the main Acrobat Reader for Windows. It is quite a common question, so there should be an answer in the archives.

PS congratulations for posting on topic, but please don't tail end irrelevant threads, especially if their last article was off topic.

Why does Acrobat Reader persists in finding updates and why is there no option to turn that off? Does Adobe want to control the world like Microsoft? Very very annoying.
