In Vista, the PostScript printer driver is supported by Microsoft, not Adobe.

Try the "Add Printer" wizard in the Printers Control Panel. If you cannot find the "Linotronic" model you are looking for, you may be out of luck.

The "Linotronic" devices were PostScript Level 1 devices from well over 15 years ago. Are you actually printing to such a device or did someone tell you to use it for production of PostScript for some other purpose?

The base driver, for production of PostScript, comes with Windows. There is nothing to download. I don't know who told you that a Linotronic flavour of PostScript would be appropriate for you, but it would not be! When the Windows PostScript driver is configured with the PPD for an ancient Linotronic device, it acts like a monochrome only device with a restricted subset of the current PostScript language, no support for TrueType fonts, etc. Bad news!

I assume that you are trying to import WordArt from Word into graphics programs? You'd be much better off creating such material directly in the graphics programs.

Nonetheless, if you were to use the "Add Printer" wizard to create a PostScript printer driver instance to "File:" using the "HP Color LaserJet 8500 PS" might generate the PostScript you are looking for. However, your overall strategy is not recommended. Other approaches such as WMF or EMF export from Word are more reliable for the purpose you describe.
