There are no plans whatsoever to update that installer (a 16-bit application originally designed for Windows'95 and Windows NT 4) to work on any version of Windows beyond 32-bit Windows XP. Note that it doesn't work on any 64-bit version of Windows or any version of Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2007. The alternative is to use the "Add Printer" wizard of Windows which will install the same PSCRIPT5 driver or whatever printer driver installer came with your PostScript printing device.

Hi Dov,

My system is a 32bit vista OS.
I tried to add the printer in the vista wizard, the one of the manufacturer with a PS on the driver name, for example "HP LaserJet 9050 PS", but it only print noise. I saw the PSCRIPT5.dll on the datails of the printer as well. The other issue is that the university give us 3 diferent *.PDD files for diferent printers that is no longer required with the wizard. where are stored this drivers? maybe i can try to replace the PDD that uses the HP LaserJet 9050 PS with the one of the university.

Bernardo,

What your university should provide you is an installer that installs the appropriate .INF and .PPD files so that you can use the "Add Printer" wizard to install the driver.
