I'm trying to 'Export to Tape' in Premiere 5.5 but the 'Export to tape' is disabled. What am I missing?

Export the timeline, not the clip. And check to see if the camera is recognized by the application.

Of course, if you really have 5.5 and not 6.5, then my understanding is that your software is stolen and you are a criminal.

Sounds like an admission of guilt to me. Using warez and then asking us for help really takes a lot of nerve. Most of us paid hard earned money for our copies. Since Adobe never released a version 5.5 of Premiere, what other assumption is possible?

I highly recommend you come clean, buy a real copy, and we will help you get back on the right road.

No, just a law-abiding citizen. You should try it some time.

I wish you well as well.

How can you guys tell his software is illegal from that?

There was never a legal version of Premiere called 5.5, though there was a widely circulated hack of 5.1 with that name.
