Hi,
I found the download for the picture package etc missing from CS4, downloaded and installed it but when I try to use the picture package it says 'Cannot find layout files in Presets/Layouts'. Where are they and how do I put them in Presets/Layouts?
Thanks for any help you can give me. This is driving me nuts!

Taken right from the Readme......

Plug-ins and Presets removed from Photoshop CS4
Picture Package/Contact Sheet, PDF Presentation and Web Photo Gallery can
now be found in
Bridge CS4 in the Adobe Output Model (AOM). These plug-ins along with
Extract, Pattern Maker,
PhotomergeUI are not installed in Photoshop CS4. Further, the Textures and
Layouts presets are
also not installed.
NOTE: Refer to the OptionalPluginsReadMe.pdf located on your Installer DVD
for information on
where to find these plug-ins and presets and how to manually install them
into Photoshop CS4.

Check the Photoshop Goodies folder on the DVD

Michael,
I downloaded the CS4 upgrade so I'm diskless. I did find the updates on the Adobe download page and did that. They didn't include the layouts. I solved the problem by copying them from my old copy of CS3. I am very glad I didn't delete. Thanks for trying.

When the time comes, whatever you do don't "delete" CS3. It has to be removed using the Add or Remove Programs applet in Control Panel.

John,
Oh - sorry, unfortunate use of the word 'delete'. I did mean 'remove' but thanks for the reminder! When I got the upgrade I was annoyed that it didn't 'upgrade' CS3 but gave me a new CS4 program. Now I'm very glad I didn't loose CS3...
Thanks again,
j.

This is the way Adobe operates. Each new version is an entire standalone
installation that does not need prior versions (with the possible exception
of the subject files).
For example, before I installed CS3, I was running V7. The installation of
CS3 made a parallel set of folders. The same thing happened when I
installed V7 to replace V5.5.
