Just use that file as a template and drop your other images in to new layers.

How can I save overlapped slices??

Why would you want to do that?

Someone..... ??
I have the same problem!
I have one big image, and let's say I want 8 different slices, but one overlaps another. Its ok when I view the slices in photoshop, but when I save them, it will not allow two to overlap... it just removes the overlapped portion.

How can I save overlapped slices??

Thankssssss.

Because I have one square, say 500x500 pixels. The left side, I need 400x500 pixels, and the right side, I might need 350x500 pixels. They overlap... so the slices wont save the overlapping part, just the other parts.

How does putting the image into a new layer affect the slices? It's still the same slices for each PSD file.... so no matter what layer is visible, the slices will still cut the same.

Right now, I have to take each flat later, put them in another PSD file and slice it..... (slice each PSD individually).

Photoshop should allow me to slice in ONE psd file... no matter if the images are overlapping. Especially since it allows me to select the slice and overlap it, then either it needs to say "sorry, you are overlapped with another slice" or slice the thing where I want it sliced.

I can't find anywhere how to get it to slice right.... or an easy solution without having to make separate PSD files... that takes time when you have a lot of files to slice.

other parts.

Slices don't/can't overlap though, unless you use layer based slices.

It doesn't. That's what it sounded like Jo wanted: a way to use the slice table on a different image.

So you are telling me that I can make slices for each layer without using a separate PSD file?

How can I do that?

It appears to me that when I put the slices on the image, it's for the whole file I am working on, and not for each layer?!
