Filter>>render>clouds.

Filter>render>difference clouds.

Repeat the difference clouds 3 or 4 times.

filter>distort>wave - verticle distortion set to 0%. 'Repeat edges' enabled.

Um, futz with the other settings a little.

Then make a layer mask with text as the mask - set to bevel/emboss.

Hi all --

I believe I posted someting like this a while back, but so long ago, I cannot find my entry. Does anyone know of a way to make photgraphic images look like woodcuts -- sort of like the images in the Wall Street Journal? I believe there was a tutorial available, but cannot locate. Thanks!

Hi Patrick,

Andromeda has made a plug-in called Screens which will do nice woodcuts. I´ll see if I can dig up the nice tutorial on how to do it with Photoshop alone and halftoning.
