Can you retain layer names on export somehow?

My PSD file has many layers; need each to be a separate JPG named as its layer.

thanks!

If File – Scripts – Export Layers to Files doesn’t meet Your needs, maybe You should look over in the Scripting Forum, the matter has come up there recently I think.

There's a script available at the Adobe Studio Exchange:

OOPS! Nevermind...it doesn't do the naming part you're after.

I don't know if you can do this in CS3, but in older versions if you can open the file In ImageReady you can do File>Export Layers as Files, and You get a variety of naming options.

Thanks all! I found that in CS3 at least, via File – Scripts – Export Layers to Files, there wasn't a way to save out layers as jpgs named after each layer.

However, it was simple enough to create a New Action for this and Batch Process the file to do exactly what I needed. Hoorah!

cheers, and thanks for your feedback.
