OS X 10.2.2, photoshop 7.0, command + spacebar zoom does not work, neither option + command + spacebar does...

Any suggestions?

See the other 30 topics about shortcuts not working in 10.2.2 and the fact that we're still waiting for Apple to fix it.

It's a problem for me too now, it went away when I updated my wacom driver to 4.7.5a6, but it just came back today, 2 months later.

I just removed and re-installed the wacom driver (4.7.5a6) and all is right with the world again.

The Wacom driver has nothing to do with it -- rebooting will solve the problem.

It's a bug in 10.2, and Apple is working on a fix.

OK. First thing I did was reboot, then a log out and it gave no results, so I did the removed and install thing and it's back working, you don't have to reboot the system after the wacom driver is installed so it was just a coincidence?

Read what I said...

It was coincidence.

Sorry, I just re-read what you said and I didn't see the part about not asking anymore questions.

Chris didn't say not to ask more questions. . .he said "The Wacom driver has nothing to do with it -- rebooting will solve the problem. It's a bug in 10.2, and Apple is working on a fix." It has NOTHING TO DO WITH WACOM. It's a coincidence when booting. . .sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. If it does happen, reboot and hope that fixes it. But forget about the Wacom driver being involved. . .it isn't (with this problem anyway).

Aha, it also happens to me that suddenly the cmnd + spacebar works fine, but then I don't know why, it does not work anymore, hope it is a OS X system bug, and also hope it be fixed soon...

I understood all that Chis said Jeff, so the problem is so intermitent that it does not have to happen on start up, it can just turn up while the program is running.?

Hello everybody, Just wanted to add that I had problems with zooming in 10.2.2 and PS 7.0.1 and even after initializing and clean install of the "Jag" then clean install of PS 7.0.1 I had the same problem. I don't know if it is Apple or Adobe issue but couldn't not get it to work properly. I Went back to 10.1.5 with 4.7.3a3 wacom driver and no problems , solid as a rock and actually faster screen re-draws and switching between tools. Very disappointed in the Jag!!! See topic "OS 10.2.2 and PS 7.0.1 zooming not working"

Fabricio - as already noted: there is no answer or solution other than rebooting (sometimes logging out and back in works).

Apple is still working on it.

Chris, I did, but I didn't find any satisfying answer there, If I were, you can be sure I would not have posted the present topic, doesn't it sound logic?

Yes is a Mac OS X bug, spacebar, shift, and option keys does not work on zooming, dragg duplicating, constrainig in Freehand, photoshop, Illustrator.
Imagine, I cannot make a straight line in Illustrator pressing shift key, that's terrible!!!

Need urgent help...

"Urgent Help" is alive and well and living in Mac OS 9.2.2.

Very simple choice really?

I'd rather deal with a few issues with Photoshop than system freezes and constant restarts in OS9 any day.

Can anyone comment if this problem has been solved by 10.2.3? I'm still at 10.2.2 and am in the middle of a large job, so I don't risk upgrading now.

OK! Here's what you need to do.

Open SYS-Preferences
International
Go to the "Input Menu" Tab
Make sure U.S. is checked
Click the Options... button
Make sure the Input Menu Shortcuts IS NOT selected!!!
Click OK
Quit Pref.
Logout and then log back in.

That's it.

Hope this works for others. It worked for me.

Best regards...Mike

I just read this whole discussion, and I didn't see anyone suggest command + and command - to zoom in and out. That is the shortcut that I always use.....but perhaps you all were having problems with a number of keyboard shortcuts. My office still hasn't made the leap to OS X.... we are still using 9.22.Judging from the forums, this seems like a good thing.

I'm trying the "input menu thing" but CMD+space+mouse works while trying to crop an image.

This is intermittant, but annoying.

agree w/ Lara,

whats the problem w/ command +?
Its more comfortable for me anyway...

anyway, I do know that if u try to use the hand tool w/ spacebar with a large image 150MB+, it sometimes stops working.

maybe the same for zooming in/out??

It's a known OS X bug, discussed many times in this forum.

Apple is still working on a fix.
