Dear forum members,
Does anyone know of a good tutorial that explains the photography process for creating 360-degree interactive Flash tutorials?

I have several small sculptures I would like to photograph digitally, but could use direction on; lighting, number of shots needed for a smooth rotation, and tips on stitching the frames together.

I would also appreciate any recommendations on authoring tools and final file formats - I'm currently looking at the "360-Degree Interactive Product Viewer, V1.0" extension.

I will need only rotate and zoom functionality.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sam,

Have you tried posting here: <http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/index.cfm?forumid=15>
You might have better luck.

Hi, Sam, we did something similar at work some months ago with a
colleague of mine, and we photographed the product every 15 degrees >
result: 24 shots. That seemed to be enough (at least the Flash
presentation looked natural). I prepared all the 24 images in Photoshop
(cutting the background etc.), but unfortunately I didn't do the Flash
part of the presentation, so I cannot really help you with that.

To take the pictures, we used a round plate where we marked all the
degrees, so it was easy to check that we really rotated the product
(that was on the plate, obviously) 15 degrees every time. Your camera
must also stay still, so use a tripod and don't move it.

I'm sure there are better ways to do this, especially if you have
resources (time, money and people), but this low-cost system worked for
us.
