I keep getting 'Scratch Disk Full, may want to delete files from hard disk' message when trying to open pdd files or carrying out any operation on scanned images. I just don't get this because my computer's got 512 MB RAM only 25% utilised and over 100 GB hard drive of which less than 16 GB used, so why should I need to delete files with all that space spare? The limited information on the program's Help is useless. Am I missing something or is this program so ludicrously memory-hungry that it needs a bank of monster mainframes the size of the Pentagon to carry out basic tasks? NB I use Windows XP.

Open the compatiblity wizard (in accessories) and follow the prompts. Ignore the plug-in error message. Hope it works for you.
