Right now i have a 250 page adobe document with no margins--each page
fills the entire 8.5x111 page.
I need to resize the 250 page document so as to give it .5 inch
margins.
I try to resize it by printing it via the adobe pdf printer and
scaling to 90%, but it gives me an error upon seeming completion on
all my mahcines.
Is there some way to resize it while generating the orginal 250 page
document from indiviodual files?
Please do let me know!
Best,
:)

Hi
you can do this in some ways:
main way to operate this addition is using Impose tool in multivalent
(needs java)
http://multivalent.sourceforge.net/Tools/pdf/Impose.html
http://www.ziddu.com/download/1794145/Multivalent.tar.gz.html
command line you must use is something like:
java -cp /mnt/sda3/multivalent.jar tool.pdf.Impose -dim 1x1 -paper 21x29.7cm -margin 0.5inch file.pdf
where
/mnt/sda3/multivalent.jar
is full path to multivalent.jar executable (in my case, is /mnt/sda3/
multivalent.jar), you must replace this with your path to multivalent,
once downloaded
-paper 21x29.7cm
represents the paper source size (you can replace this with your paper
size in cm or inches)
-margin 0.5inch
is a margin dimension
I hope this help you
