I'm using Windows 98 and Pagemaker 7.0 and trying to export a Pagemaker file (.pmd) to an Adobe .PDF. Whenever I try this, I get the error message: Cannot register plug-in. Please re-install the plug-in component. Invalid function number 9010:0001. Must I reinstall Pagemaker 7.0? I have Adobe 5.0 installed on my system and I have the Acrobat Distiller installed as well. How do I correct this program?

I think the update may help you. Download the .1 update file and install it. If that does not help you, print the pages to file (.ps) and distill the .ps with Distiller.

P.S. Would you click on the Preferences button above and change your login to reflect your real name please? Or add your name after your messages. I like to know who I’m helping. Thanks.

I'm trying to create a PDF file from Pagemaker 7.0. (Operating System 9.2) The error reads: The PDF file was not created. This may be due to a user cancellation or an error in the Postscript file. Please check the log information located in the file... I've tried to locate this log file, but it doesn't exist. Also, I've installed the latest driver that came with the PM upgrade. Pagemaker 6.5 worked just great before I installed 7.0. Please help! Thanks

Are you on a Mac? You might have better luck with your question over in the PageMaker/Mac forum:
