I had successfully installed the pdf import filter into PageMaker 6.52 (needed for pdf import), and have been successfully placing PDFs into my documents for nearly a year.

Now, out of the blue, PDFs placed into pagemaker display and print with nonsensical characters in them. It's almost as if the pdf was created with wingdings...

Anyway, when I open the PDF in Acrobat,it reads/looks fine. It is only when I place it into my document that it displays/prints wrong. I have racked my brain for a fix. I uninstalled, then re-installed PM 65, then the update to 652, then the pdf filter.

Things are the same. I have not installed or updated any software onto this machine anytime near the time this problem started looming it's head.

Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Rick

1. Are you printing to a postscript printer?
2. Are those PDFs saved to version 3.0 compatibility?
