I've been trying to use different fonts and can't get them to appear on my PageMaker documnets. I've put the font files in my system folder (fonts) and in the font folder that accompanies PageMaker and still no use. The new fonts appear in Illustrator but not PageMaker.

thanks for the help!

Yes, I've restarted several times and tried running PageMaker in 9 instead of 10 - still no luck

The best way to handle fonts is with a font manager. That said. when you put your fonts in the system font folder. try restarting your Mac.

Also Don't use PM in Classic mode it counter productive to getting serious work done.

Thanks - I've installed ATM from both the PageMaker CD and from the adobe Website but the fonts still don't work in PageMaker - running in 9. I feel like I'm going crazy

ATM Deluxe is a font manager, as is Suitcase 10. If you are going to switch to OSX I would suggest Suitcase it works in 9 and 10.

Make sure you are putting the fonts in the OS 9 system font folder.

I am having the exact same problem with fonts not appearing correctly in my Pagemaker 7.0 documents in system 10 and 9. I have Suitcase 10 and they still don't appear correctly.

Pagemaker does not work all that well with OSX I would suggest booting into OS 9 if you have real work to do.

I had the same problem while running PM on OS9, it was not detecting the fonts in the System folder. I finally solved the problem by reinstalling the Pagemaker software on OS9 (open computer in OS9 - change Startup Disk if you are using OSX). Do not install from OSX because somehow PM gets confused. (I nearly went crazy too!)

I'm having similar problems. Had printing problems, and Apple suggested I reinstall OS9.2, which I did. Then reinstalled PM, but lost about 85% of my fonts. My original fonts come up in Word, but not PM. In addition I tried adding the fonts from the PM CD as usual, into system folder/fonts, and they don't come up. The documentation on the CD says to use ATM - but ATM doesn't seem to do anything or give you any options. Adobe Technical Support couldn't help (not yet anyway) and said they'd ring me back but haven't....does anyone know how to properly install fonts for OS9.2 and 10.2 and how to make all fonts accessible to all apps?

thanks buko, can you recommend one?

Adobe tech support gave me advice which got my original fonts back, but only if I restart PM each time I use it in 9.2- a real pain if I want to be working between Photoshop/Dreamweaver and PM. Also I can't print in 9.2 to my hp laserjet 1200 series and using PM from Classic mode is having it unexpectedly quit frequently-error code 2; this wasn't happening when using PM from OS10.2. There must be a better way.......Adobe support still hasn't been able to advise me how to install the fonts from their CD and use them! Has anyone ever tried paying the fee for this support?

Don't use PM in classic mode.

PM is not OSX native.

Boot into OS9.2.2 and everthing will work.

Suitcase 10.1.3 you can use it in both OS9 and OSX
