I've been playing with this for a while but can't quite figure it out. I would like to change the default stroke to be aligned to the inside of the frame. The other values are ok, I just don't want it to be aligned to center. Is there any way to do this? I will be using it on rectangle/ellipse frames. Thanks.

With no document open, change the stroke align in the stroke palette. It will be the default for all new documents.

Well I tried that, and it worked well, but it only seems to apply to the rectangle/ellipse tool, not the frame tools. And I prefer using the frames cause they are easier to work with.

Nate,

You're right. Maybe this is because frames nomally don't have strokes (but it is odd).

They may not normally have strokes, but when you select one and press D a default stroke is applied that is different than the default you can set up when no documents are open. I guess I could use the other rectangle/ellipse tools but those are a pain in the butt to work with.
