But it did not indicate which text is overtexted. So I could not figure out which text is the problem. How can I detect overtext when the error pop up? James

It's often the width of the textbox, just a margin too small. So widen it.
marker ('#') to the end of the story
That means that I should place a # at the end of story. Then, what? The opened box (by Ctrol-Y) does not have "save" mode. Do simply placing # at the of the story and the subsequent closing of the overtext box solves the overtext problem? James
So, do as I said in my last post - place your cursor at the end of
the story in Story editor, then *backspace* to the end of your text.
The Overset markings should disappear, and you can just close the
Story editor window. The little red box with the '+' sign should
also have disappeared when you return to Layout view, showing that
there's nothing overset.
If your 'overset box with text' is something else, it could be an
inline object, a table or something of the sort. Could this be the
case? If so, then it probably got there by accident, when you say
that there's no text missing from your layout. Could you take a
screenshot of the bottom of the story in Story editor and post it at
pixentral.com? We'd then be able to see what it is you're talking
about.
