February 11, 2004 — InDesign: Come in From the Cold

After a long absence, it's our pleasure to invite you to the next meeting of the New York InDesign Users Group, which is entitled "InDesign: Come in From the Cold."

The meeting will be held next Wednesday, February 11th, at Pratt Institute's new Manhattan facility.

With this being our first meeting of the new year, we've decided to depart from our usual format and devote the evening to fielding questions from you, our loyal members. Come warm your feet by the intellectual fire of our crack panel of experts who, through their combined brainpower, will answer your most vexing (or semi-vexing) InDesign questions. Need to know how to use the Book feature? Wondering about working with nested styles in InDesign CS? Mixed ink groups got you down? Flattener is a big black hole? Don't know a ligature from an ordinal (really, you don't?!)? To quote George W., "bring it on!" If our team can't answer your question (highly unlikely), we're sure someone from the group can.

After we've expertly answered every InDesign question in the universe, the evening will wrap up with our now-famous raffle where we'll give away scads of good stuff to needy graphic worker bees like you. Like what, you ask? Well I can't say much, but to toy with your emotions how about a free copy of the Adobe Creative Suite Standard (retail value $999)? Not too shabby, huh?

Remember, raffle tickets are a mere $3 each or 4 for $10. And again, you can't win if you don't play!!

But wait, there's more!! Yes, every everyone attending the meeting will also receive a FREE copy of the Adobe InDesign 2.0 Success Kit, including Total Training's complete InDesign 2.0 training DVD, a fantastic type book by Erik Spiekermann, a QuarkXPress-to-InDesign conversion guide, and lots more! This kit is worth $350, so don't miss out.
