I am working on a document and need some text to be in boldface.
I use the command-shift-B shortcut* on highlighted text and instead of applying Typeface Bold (which I have, and which is installed) it is trying to apply Typeface [Bold No. 2] (which is not installed).

How do I point Indesign to the bold font that I want it to use for this typeface?

* Yes, I know about fake bold and how evil it is, and no, I am not trying to do that. :)

Some fonts have a Bold variation assigned to them by the font maker. When they do, that is the font InDesign will use when you make it bold with a shortcut. The only way to change that is to edit the font data. That is what's known as "A Very Bad Idea".
