I have a pdf document I need to centre the pages. So i thougfht about importing to inDesign.

Drag and drop = 1 page only same with place.

How do I get all the pages in, and not just the first one?

Martin,

When you place, make sure your show import options is turned on. This should allow you to select pages from a multi-page PDF. You'll still have to insert one at a time though.

argh! 64 pages hmmmm

Thanks Diane. We have 64 right hand pages. Trouble is we need to back them up. So we need to centre them. Can we do this from a pdf? I thought about importing them into ID.

I bet someone could write a script for you. I'm only beginning to learn how to script, so I can't help you. But it seems like something that could be automated with a script. Keep checking back, maybe someone else can help.

Martin,

Actually someone has scripted this. It's available for download from the Expert Center. There is also a PC version so make sure you get the right OS.

There is a selection of scripts and templates available at the Adobe Studio Exchange ... including a Mac OSX script for importing multi-page PDF documents.

edit: I just verified that there is also an OS 9 version of the script... find the InDesign Scripts here:
