InCopy user can't check in assignment, so can't make package for ID

My client is attempting to make a package to send back to me. She says that she's not able to create a package because InCopy says that there is an assignment that is checked out. But, she's the only user and the assignment is assigned to her user name. She's not able to check the story back in, or do anything with it.

Is there an override for this problem? Embed copy is grayed out too. All the other stories are fine.

Did you send the InCopy user a package? Did she open it by double
clicking the package?

How did she check the assignment out?

Finally what version of InCopy?
