I have look thru all my disks and can not find it. I found a lot of
Myriad fonts but not the ROMAN that 10 keeps saying it needs. Anyone
have a copy, or a pointer to it? I'm tired of having that box pop up
every time I load 10.

Thanks

Steve E.

Steve,

I take it that it does not appear in the list under Type and in the Character Palette.

I cannot find it either.

Have you changed the default font from Myriad in the aiprefs file, and if so, have you changed all instances of it?

Maybe this is one for Len.

Len?

Right you are, Harron, as always. I had not thought of looking under those letters.

It is easily found in the Fonts and ATM Light\Fonts folder in the installation CD.

The default location when installed is the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts\Reqrd\Base folder.

And now another question: Is it possible to make those nice fonts available for other applications such as the one that makes every Word Perfect? In other words, can they be transformed to enter the Windows Fonts folder, and if so, how?

It's a PostScript Type 1 font. Using Windows search, look for the files WMR_____.PFB and WMR_____.PFM (five underline characters in each case). Make sure to search in hidden and system folders, as well.

All of my fonts are in non-default locations because I use a font manager, so I can't really tell you where to look.

Thank you very much, Harron. It works like a dream, in XP.

Here, in InDesign and Illustrator CS2, Myriad Roman
is not a font family name (like Times New Roman).
It's the Regular version of Myriad.

I'm not sure whether this was already clear.

Found it thanks to you all, just needed to put it in the correct
folder.

Yes... the usual way. See this page: <http://desktoppub.about.com/cs/fixfonts/ht/psfonts_winxp.htm>

Presumably also works that way in Vista.
